Compassion Through Creativity

Everything I do with my work is based in compassion. A visceral way to evoke compassion is through creative collaboration.

Philosophy of Education

Antoine de St. Exupèry wisely wrote, “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.” My aim is to help students develop the creative and imaginal intelligence of the heart through engaging arts and humanities curriculum.
One’s imaginative intelligence is the greatest tool in the process of individuation, which is the psyche’s necessary trajectory toward wholeness. The imagination is the shared mythological country from which all creativity and invention is born. It is the place where regardless of nation, each person holds citizenship. The psychological container offered by a great story is as healing as the therapeutic hour. The goal of my work is the discovery of how to best serve community through the healing function of story. I have successfully helped provide a dynamic for students to excel by grounding everything I teach in a foundation of trust, integrity, and inclusion with a focus on strengthening right relationship to Mother Earth.

Call to Action

My mission is to help people connect to the power of their own narrative as healing function and to especially connect to the healing power of all narratives, from cultures all around the world. But most importantly, I aim to reconnect us to the narrative of Mother Earth.
